Return to Richmond Beach

Whenever friends come into town for a visit, we try take them to our favorite places in the area. A few of the locations that we visited this time were Daniel Smith, Richmond Beach and the Redhook Brewery. Below are a few photos from our trip to the beach with our dear cousins Krista and Daniel Fogt. For some reason, I felt like really tweaking with the photos, applying heavy vignettes, ramping up the detail, messing with the color saturation and the vibrancy. I like the results, which I think ended up somewhere between cross processing and lomography.

Food Tech – Hops Yard

Remember way back when I spent a few days in the Yakima Valley photographing at a hops farm? Well that very same farm was featured on a History Channel show called Food Tech. Last year, I was contacted by a producer at the History Channel about using a photos of mine in the program. Now, a year later, the program with an episode titled Hops Yard aired and I almost missed it. On May 8th, I had the wonderful opportunity of witnessing and photographing the marriage Sarah and Matt Eichelberger in Bellevue, Washington. Before this big day arrived, Sarah, Matt and I spent some time together in downtown Kirkland taking some engagement photos.
